Psychic protection is not difficult. To start off you need to see what level of protection you need. For some people, visualisations and the occasional use of crystals or other ‘tools’ will be adequate. For others, you will need to use more strategies for your protection to be affective.
To determine how much protection you need is actually trial and error. It is quite likely that your protection and grounding needs may also change depending on the environment you are in and people you find yourself with. As you develop and your vibrations get higher; you will need to develop different strategies to ensure that the job is done effectively. I will address the reasons for this in later blogs.
So here is where you start
Grounding
First of all start by doing the grounding visualisation mentioned previously. Even if you find this exercise difficult, please try and do not give up. Practise does make perfect. This exercise will stabilise your energy and anchor it onto the earth. It is NOT unusual for the effects of this to only last for a couple of minutes. If this is the case then you will need other methods of grounding.
Once you have grounded then this should help enormously and give you space to really consider what is actually going on. You must also drink at least 2 litres of water in a 24-hour period, which will nourish your body and help to support the grounding process.
Sometimes we may experience similar affects of psychic invasion simply because we are dehydrated and ungrounded. Drinking water and grounding should always be your starting point.
There are other grounding visualisations on the net and in books. If you find that the visualisation supplied on this blog is not for you, then look around and see if you can find others- or make one up for yourself! The basics for grounding visualisations are that:
* The energy MUST always go down the legs, not between your legs. Your legs are an extension of your base chakra energy. Therefore the base chakra energy must go down the legs until it reaches the foot chakras.
* The foot chakras must be open and the energy visualisation needs to contain a scene where this energy is observed to penetrate the earth. These chakras connect us to the earth and anchor us there.
When grounding has been established, you then need to get started on setting up some protection for yourself. What you choose really depends on personal preference but I would ALWAYS choose at least 2-3 different protection tools for mild to moderate attack/breach and 5-6 if the breach and/or symptoms are severe.
Visualisations
I would always start with visualisations as they can be set up wherever you are and will be affective straight away. They are also free to implement!
Box of Mirrors

Box of Mirrors
The first visualisation I would recommend is one using a ‘Box of Mirrors’.
In your minds eye erect a mirror to the front of you. The reflective side should be pointing outwards. See the mirror completely hide you so it covers you from head to toe. Then, erect a mirror to the back of you, again seeing the reflective side pointing outwards.
Now cover your sides with a mirror.
To complete the ‘box of Mirrors’ visualisation, imagine a mirror beneath your feet and one above your head.
You now need to make an affirmation to go with the visualisation. This will strengthen the visualisation. This affirmation can be some thing like ‘These mirrors are to protect me from any negative external influences, all positive energy is able to flow freely through these mirrors’.
If you like, you can make up your own affirmation.
Other visualisations.
Bubbles

Bubble
Surrounding yourself in bubbles of light is also a good way of protecting yourself but it is unwise to use ‘white light’ as this makes you an energetic beacon. This is the last thing you want when going through any form of energy invasion or psychic attack.
I would recommend using colours such as green, blue, yellow and pink. Some people like to use rainbow bubbles. Rainbow bubbles will give you a full spectrum of healing energy.
The colour you choose is down to personal preference and you may find that the colour changes from day to day/situation to situation. Use your intuition.
There is no reason why darker colours can’t be used in your bubble visualisations. However, please do not use very dark colours continually (more than 2-3 days). Colours such as dark green, navy blue, dark purple will have a degree of the colour black in them. From a colour therapy perspective black allows people to be very introspective and provided very deep healing. It can however, make people very depressed if too much black is absorbed.
Psychic attack can distress and further adding to this with the colour you choose to use in your visualisations can create a downward escalating mood. So be careful and mindful of the colours you choose.
To use the bubble visualisations just imagine yourself cocooned in the centre of a beautiful coloured bubble. Feel yourself safe and cradled in this beautiful energy. Ask your body to absorb the colour so that all your cells are at saturation point.
Whichever colour you choose for your bubble, try to make it as bright and clear as possible.
Like the ‘Box of Mirrors’ visualisation, you will need to make an affirmation for your coloured bubble.
‘This bubble is to protect me from all negative energies penetrating my energy system, all positive energy is able to flow freely through this bubble’.
